Labdhi meaning
Labdhi (लब्धि) is a Jain girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Jain usage).
Obtaining, gaining, acquisition; gain, profit
Also used to mean: attainment, achievement
Labdhi (लब्धि, Gujarati લબ્ધિ) is Sanskrit labdhi, from the verb labh, "to obtain". Monier-Williams defines it as obtaining, gaining or acquisition, and as gain or profit; in arithmetic it was also the word for a quotient. In Jain tradition the word has a special religious sense: labdhis are extraordinary powers said to arise from penance and ascetic discipline, and Jain writings describe many kinds, such as the power to become invisible or to take several forms at once. Because of this association the name is chosen mainly by Jain families, many of them Gujarati. Name lists usually give it as "attainment" or "achievement".
