Vivaan meaning
Vivaan (विवान) is a Hindu boy's name.
Meaning today
Full of life, first rays of the sun
In the dictionaries
The name isn't in the classical dictionaries we use, so it is most likely a modern name. The meaning above is how families commonly use it.
Vivaan (विवान) is a modern Indian boys' name, usually given on name lists as "full of life" or "the first rays of the morning sun". We could not find either meaning in Monier-Williams or Apte, and the origin of the name is uncertain. The only Sanskrit word of this form, vi-vāna, is a ritual term for "plaiting, twisting" cited from the Śrauta-sūtras (Monier-Williams p. 989), and no source links the name to it; the Sanskrit scholar Nityanand Misra has made the same point in print. The sun's name Vivasvat, "shining forth" (p. 987), is a different word. The popular meanings are best read as the senses families give the name today.
References: Monier-Williams, vi-vāna, p. 989 · Swarajya, Vivaan means a woven chair, not a ray of sun (on Nityanand Misra)
