Dinah meaning
Dinah is a Christian girl's name of Hebrew origin.
Justice; feminine of din, 'to judge'
Also used to mean: judged, vindicated
Dinah is the daughter of Jacob and Leah in the Book of Genesis, named in Genesis 30:21 after her mother's six sons. Strong's Concordance explains the name as the feminine of din, 'to judge', so it means 'justice'; name lists put it as 'judged' or 'vindicated'. Her brother Dan's name comes from the same root. Dinah's story in Genesis 34 is a hard one, but the short, gentle-sounding name is still used by Christian families in South India.
