Name of a Nāga princess, daughter of Kauravya, married to Arjuna
Also used to mean: wife of arjuna, naga princess
Ulupi (उलूपी) is a name from the Mahābhārata. Monier-Williams records Ulūpī as the daughter of the Nāga king Kauravya, who married Arjuna; in the epic she meets him during his years of wandering, and their son is Irāvān, who later fights and dies at Kurukṣetra. In a later episode she uses a serpent jewel to bring Arjuna back to life after he falls in battle against his own son Babhruvāhana. The dictionary gives no meaning for the word itself, and claims online that it means "beloved owl" have no support. Name lists simply call her the wife of Arjuna.
