Sravani meaning
Sravani (श्रावणी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu usage).
The full-moon day of the month Śrāvaṇa
Sravani (శ్రావణి) is Sanskrit śrāvaṇī, the day of the full moon in the month of Śrāvaṇa, which falls in July or August during the monsoon. Monier-Williams cites it from the Gṛhya and Dharma texts, where it also names a domestic rite held on that day. The month is named after the star Śravaṇa and is one of the holiest in the Hindu calendar; its full moon is celebrated as Raksha Bandhan in much of India. Some name lists explain Sravani as a girl born in Shravan. The spelling with S- is the usual Telugu form; Marathi and Hindi families write Shravani.
