Lohitha meaning
Lohitha (लोहिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu usage). By its first sound, लो, it is a Mesh rashi name (Bharani nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Red, reddish; lohitā, one of the seven tongues of Agni
Also used to mean: ruby
Lohitha (लोहिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit lohita, which Monier-Williams gives as "red, red-coloured, reddish". The dictionary also records Lohitā as one of the seven tongues of Agni, the fire god, and as a name of plants with red flowers. Name lists give "red" or "ruby", in line with the word; some add a link to the goddess Lakshmi that the dictionary does not record. It is the girls' counterpart of Lohit, and is used mainly in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
