Archi meaning
Archi (अर्ची) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A ray, a flame
Archi (अर्ची) comes from the Sanskrit arci, a mainly Vedic word that Monier-Williams gives as a ray or a flame. It grows from the verb arc, which means both "to shine" and "to praise", and the more common classical form of the noun is arcis, "flame, light". From the same root come archana, "worship", and Archita, "worshipped", so the name sits between light and devotion. Name lists give Archi as a ray of light. It is short and easy to say in any language.
