Ardra meaning
Ardra (आर्द्रा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Malayalam usage).
The sixth lunar mansion (nakshatra); moist, fresh, tender
Ardra (आर्द्रा) is the Sanskrit name of a nakshatra, one of the lunar mansions of Indian astronomy, which Monier-Williams lists as the fourth or sixth depending on the counting. In Malayalam and Tamil the same star is Thiruvathira or Thiruvathirai, and the Thiruvathira festival is held on that day. As an adjective, ārdra means wet or moist, fresh and green, and also soft, tender and warm-hearted. The name is used mainly in Kerala, where it is often spelt Aardra.
