Bhadra meaning
Bhadra (भद्रा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Malayalam usage).
Blessed, auspicious, gracious, lovely; a form of Durgā
Also used to mean: good fortune
Bhadra (भद्रा) is one of the richest words of good omen in Sanskrit. Monier-Williams gives bhadra as blessed, auspicious, fortunate and happy, as good, gracious and kind, and as excellent, beautiful and dear; the feminine Bhadrā is also the name of a form of Durga and of other goddesses. In Kerala, where Bhadrakali is widely worshipped, Bhadra is used as a girls' name. Name lists give "auspicious" or "good fortune", in line with the dictionary.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Durga.
