Bhargavi meaning
Bhargavi (भार्गवी) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, भा, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Mula nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A female descendant of Bhrigu; a name of Lakshmi and of Parvati
Also used to mean: goddess lakshmi, goddess parvati
Bhargavi (भार्गवी) is the feminine of bhārgava, "descended from Bhrigu", one of the great Vedic seers. Monier-Williams records bhārgavī as a female descendant of Bhrigu, as Devayani, the daughter of the sage Shukra, as a name of Lakshmi and of Parvati, and also as a kind of grass. Lakshmi is called Bhargavi because one Puranic account makes her Bhrigu's daughter. Baby-name lists mostly give the name as Goddess Lakshmi, sometimes as Parvati. The name is used in South India and Maharashtra.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Lakshmi.
