Bhavya meaning
Bhavya (भव्या) is a Hindu unisex name of Sanskrit origin, used for both girls and boys.
Proper, excellent; handsome, beautiful; auspicious; (bhavyā) a name of Pārvatī
Also used to mean: grand, magnificent
Bhavya (भव्या) comes from Sanskrit bhavya, built on the root bhū, "to be". Its oldest sense is "existing" or "about to be", and from there it came to mean "suitable, good, excellent", "handsome, beautiful, pleasant" and "auspicious". Monier-Williams also records the feminine Bhavyā as a name of the goddess Umā, that is, Parvati. Indian name lists usually give Bhavya as "grand" or "magnificent", which is the everyday meaning of the word in modern Hindi: the Hindi Śabdasāgara gives "splendid, grand" as its first sense, alongside "auspicious" and "excellent". In Jain usage the word also describes a soul capable of liberation. The name is given to girls and also to boys.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Parvati.
