Aindri meaning
Aindri (ऐन्द्री) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Indra's energy, personified as his consort; the east
Also used to mean: powerful, wife of Indra
Aindri (ऐन्द्री) is the feminine of Sanskrit aindra, "belonging to Indra", the king of the Vedic gods. Monier-Williams explains aindrī as Indra's energy personified as his wife, sometimes identified with Durgā, and also as the east, the quarter ruled by Indra. Indra's consort is better known as Śacī or Indrāṇī; as Aindrī she is counted among the Saptamātṛkās, the seven mother goddesses of Hindu temple art. Name lists render it as "powerful" or "divine", a loose but fair reflection of a goddess of Indra's strength.
