Satyabhama meaning
Satyabhama (सत्यभामा) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu and Malayalam usage).
'having true lustre'; daughter of Satrājit and a wife of Kṛṣṇa
Also used to mean: truthful, wife of Krishna
Satyabhama (सत्यभामा) joins satya, "true", with bhāmā, from a root meaning "to shine". Monier-Williams explains the name as "having true lustre" and identifies her as the daughter of Satrājit and one of the chief wives of Krishna. In the Puranas she goes with Krishna to fight the demon Naraka and asks for the heavenly parijata tree. Telugu culture holds her especially dear: Bhama Kalapam, the Kuchipudi dance-drama, centres on her, and Bhama is a short form. Name lists often give "truthful".
