Satvika meaning
Satvika (सात्विका) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu usage). By its first sound, सा, it is a Kumbh rashi name (Shatabhisha nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Pure, true, genuine, good, virtuous; spirited, energetic
Also used to mean: good-natured
Satvika (सात्विका) comes from Sanskrit sāttvika, "relating to sattva", the quality of purity, goodness and light in Hindu philosophy. Monier-Williams gives sāttvika as spirited, vigorous and energetic, and as pure, true, genuine, honest, good and virtuous, and of style natural and unaffected. The classical feminine is sāttvikī, which the old lexicons also list as a name of Durgā; the form Satvika, ending in -a, is the modern name. Name lists give "pure", "virtuous" or "good-natured", which match the dictionary. The name is used mainly in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, where it is spelled Sathvika.
