Bhagya meaning

Bhagya (भाग्य) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, भा, it is a Dhanu rashi name (Mula nakshatra) in the North Indian table.

Good fortune, luck, happiness, welfare; fate

Bhagya (भाग्य) is the Sanskrit word for fortune. It comes from the verb bhaj, "to share out", and Monier-Williams gives it both as an adjective, "lucky, fortunate", and as a noun meaning a person's lot or fate, and especially good fortune, happiness and welfare. The word is used across Indian languages for one's fortune, and it begins longer names such as Bhagyashree and Bhagyalakshmi. As a given name it is used in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, mainly for girls. Name lists give it simply as "fortune".
