Anandita meaning
Anandita (आनन्दिता) is a Hindu girl's name of Sanskrit origin.
Rejoiced, delighted, happy
Also used to mean: joyful, one who brings happiness
Anandita (आनन्दिता) is the feminine of Sanskrit ānandita, which Monier-Williams defines as rejoiced, delighted and happy. It is the past participle of the verb ā-nand, "to rejoice", the same root as ānanda, "joy", so the name describes someone filled with joy. Name lists give "joyful" or "one who brings happiness"; the dictionary sense is the first. Anandita is used in Bengal, where it is pronounced with a rounded first vowel, and across the rest of India as well.
