Abuzar meaning
Abuzar (ابوذر) is a Muslim boy's name of Arabic origin.
Father of Dharr; dharr means young ants or motes of dust
Abuzar (ابوذر) is how Indian families usually write Abū Dharr, the name of an early companion of the Prophet, Abū Dharr al-Ghifārī, remembered for his plain living and his outspoken concern for the poor. Like Abū Bakr, it is a kunya, "father of Dharr". Lane's lexicon defines dharr as young or very small ants, and also the motes of dust that float in a beam of sunlight. Some name sites explain the ending through Persian zar, "gold", but the Arabic name is spelt with the letter dhāl, not zāy.
