Aromal meaning
Aromal (आरोमल) is a Hindu boy's name of Malayalam origin.
Darling; (as adverb) pleasantly, happily
Aromal (आरोमल, Malayalam ആരോമൽ) is a Malayalam word of affection. Gundert's 1872 dictionary gives its first sense as "darling", as in a phrase for a darling child, and records a poetic use meaning "pleasantly, happily". The name is best known from the Vadakkan Pattukal, the northern ballads of Kerala, whose hero Aromal Chekavar was a celebrated warrior of North Malabar; his nephew Aromalunni, who avenges him, carries the name too. It remains a distinctly Malayali boys' name.
