Gnanasambandam meaning
Gnanasambandam (ஞானசம்பந்தம்) is a Tamil boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Tamil usage).
One united with divine wisdom; after the Tevaram saint Sambandar
Also used to mean: connection to knowledge
Gnanasambandam (ஞானசம்பந்தம்) comes from Sanskrit jñāna-sambandha. Ñāṉam is wisdom, especially sacred knowledge, and Monier-Williams gives sambandha as close connection, union or relationship, so the name means "one united with divine wisdom". It honours Thirugnanasambandar, the seventh-century child saint and Tevaram poet who, by tradition, was fed the milk of wisdom by Parvati at Sirkazhi; the Tamil Lexicon records him as Campantar, one of the three Tevaram authors. Bearers include the Tamil scholar A. S. Gnanasambandan and the professor and actor G. Gnanasambandam.
