Rajarajan meaning
Rajarajan (ராஜராஜன்) is a Tamil and Hindu boy's name.
King of kings, emperor; the name of the great Chola kings
Rajarajan (ராஜராஜன்) means 'king of kings'. It comes from Sanskrit rājarāja, which Monier-Williams gives as a supreme sovereign or emperor and also as a name of Kubera and of the moon; the Tamil Lexicon records irācarācaṉ in the same sense and lists irācarācatēvaṉ as the name of three Chola kings. The greatest of them, Rajaraja I, built the Brihadisvara temple at Thanjavur, completed around 1010, and carried Chola rule into Sri Lanka. Tamil families give the name in his honour.
