Seshadri meaning
Seshadri (शेषाद्रि) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Telugu, Kannada and Tamil usage).
Mountain of Śeṣa, one of the seven hills of Tirumala
Also used to mean: hill of Shesha
Seshadri (शेषाद्रि) joins Śeṣa with adri, "mountain". Monier-Williams describes Śeṣa as the celebrated thousand-headed serpent, an emblem of eternity, who forms Vishnu's couch and canopy, and gives adri as a rock or mountain. Seshadri is the name of one of the seven peaks of the Tirumala hills above Tirupati, home of Lord Venkateswara, so the name points to Vishnu's shrine. It is used across Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, beside the similar Seshagiri.
