Niranjan meaning
Niranjan (निरंजन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Spotless, pure; free from passion; a name of Shiva; the Supreme Being
Niranjan (निरंजन) is Sanskrit nirañjana, "without añjana", the dark collyrium once used to paint the eyes, and so unpainted, spotless and pure. Monier-Williams adds the sense "free from passion or emotion", lists it as an epithet of Shiva, and gives the neuter as a name of the Supreme Being. The yogis of the Nath tradition greet one another with "Alakh Niranjan", calling on the unseen and stainless God. Name lists give "pure" or "spotless", matching the dictionary. Niranjana is the girls' form.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Shiva.
