Nirvair meaning
Nirvair (ਨਿਰਵੈਰ) is a Sikh boy's name of Punjabi origin (from Sanskrit).
Free from enmity, without hatred; also the Creator
Also used to mean: without enmity
Nirvair (ਨਿਰਵੈਰ) is formed from nir-, without, and vair, enmity. It comes from the Mool Mantar at the opening of the Guru Granth Sahib, where God is described as ਨਿਰਭਉ ਨਿਰਵੈਰੁ, without fear and without enmity (Ang 1). The Mahan Kosh defines it as free from hostility and ill will, and also uses it as a name of the Creator and of Guru Nanak. Sikh name lists explain it the same way, as free of enmity and grudges; a few general lists say "fearless", which properly belongs to its partner word, nirbhau. It is a boys' name.
