Shreyan meaning
Shreyan (श्रेयन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Better, superior (as Sanskrit śreyān, nominative of śreyas)
Also used to mean: excellent
Shreyan (श्रेयन) is usually linked to Sanskrit śreyas, "better, more excellent; good fortune", and its form matches śreyān (श्रेयान्), the masculine nominative of that word, "the better one". The Bhagavad Gītā (3.35) uses śreyān when it says that one's own duty, even imperfectly done, is better than another's. Monier-Williams gives śreyas as better, excellent and auspicious, and as a noun welfare, good fortune and bliss. Name lists give Shreyan as "superior" or "excellent", in line with this; the name itself is modern.
