Sparsh meaning
Sparsh (स्पर्श) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Touch, the sense of touch; contact
Sparsh (स्पर्श) is Sanskrit sparśa, from the verb spṛś, "to touch". Monier-Williams gives it as touch and the sense of touch, and also as contact, a word astronomers used for the first contact at the beginning of an eclipse. In Hindi the word is everyday language for a touch, and it carries a gentle, caring tone, as in a mother's touch or touching the feet of elders in respect. Name lists give Sparsh as "touch", matching the dictionary. Sai Paranjpye's 1980 Hindi film Sparsh, about a blind school principal, made the word familiar as a title.
