Vishesh meaning
Vishesh (विशेष) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Distinction; a special property; excellence, superiority
Also used to mean: distinguished, excellent
Vishesh (विशेष) is the Sanskrit viśeṣa, from vi-śiṣ, "to distinguish". Monier-Williams gives it first as distinction or difference, a characteristic mark or special property, and then as distinction, excellence and superiority; at the end of a compound it means "excellent, choice". In the Vaiśeṣika school of philosophy, which takes its name from this word, viśeṣa is particularity, the quality that makes each thing itself. In Hindi vishesh is the ordinary word for "special". Name lists give it as "special" or "distinguished", which matches the dictionary.
