Sunay meaning
Sunay (सुनय) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Wise conduct or policy; 'well-conducted'
Also used to mean: well-behaved
Sunay (सुनय) is Sanskrit su-naya, from su, "good", and naya, "conduct, policy, guidance", from the root nī, "to lead". Monier-Williams gives it as wise conduct or policy, a word found in the Mahabharata and the Ramayana, and, in the sense "well-conducted", as the name of several princes in the Purāṇas. Indian name lists give Sunay as "wise" or "well-behaved", which matches the dictionary. A separate Turkish name spelt Sunay also appears in international name lists, but it has a different origin. Sunay is close in feeling to Vinay, "good conduct, modesty", from the same root.
