Mudit meaning
Mudit (मुदित) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Delighted, joyful, glad
Also used to mean: happy
Mudit (मुदित) is Sanskrit mudita, the past participle of mud, "to rejoice, to be glad". Monier-Williams gives delighted, joyful and glad, and rejoicing in something. The feminine noun muditā means joy and gladness, and in Buddhist and yogic teaching it is sympathetic joy, delight in another person's happiness, one of the four boundless states of mind. Name lists give "happy" or "joyful", which is exactly the dictionary sense. In Hindi mudit is still a literary word for "pleased". Mudita is the matching name for girls.
