Sundar meaning
Sundar (सुंदर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Beautiful, handsome, lovely, charming, agreeable
Sundar (सुंदर, also written सुन्दर) is Sanskrit sundara, which Monier-Williams gives as beautiful, handsome, lovely, charming and agreeable, citing the Mahabharata and classical poetry. It is still the everyday word for beautiful in Hindi and many other Indian languages, and it closes many devotional names, such as Shyamsundar, "dark and beautiful", for Krishna. The Sundara Kāṇḍa, the "beautiful book" of the Ramayana, tells of Hanuman's journey to Lanka. Name lists give Sundar as "beautiful" or "handsome", matching the dictionary. A well-known modern bearer is Sundar Pichai, chief executive of Google.
