Chitresh meaning
Chitresh (चित्रेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lord of beauty (citra, 'bright, excellent', + īśa, 'lord')
Chitresh (चित्रेश) joins Sanskrit citra with īśa, "lord". Monier-Williams gives citra as conspicuous, excellent and distinguished in the Ṛg-veda, and later bright, clear and many-coloured; as a noun it also means a picture. The name therefore reads as "lord of the bright and beautiful", and baby-name lists give it as "lord of beauty", with some saying "lord of pictures". A few lists add "moon", which neither part supports. The compound itself is not a dictionary headword. It is a modern name used mainly in North India.
