Chitransh meaning
Chitransh (चित्रांश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Part of a picture (citra, 'bright; a picture', + aṃśa, 'part')
Also used to mean: colourful
Chitransh (चित्रांश) is a modern name from two Sanskrit words. Monier-Williams gives citra as conspicuous, excellent, bright or many-coloured, and as a noun a picture, and aṃśa as a share, portion or part. Baby-name lists give the name as "part of a picture" or "colourful", in line with the parts. Among Kayastha families the name has a second meaning: they call themselves Chitranshi, "part of Chitragupta", the divine record-keeper they honour as their ancestor. The compound itself is not a dictionary headword.
