Chitrabhanu meaning
Chitrabhanu (चित्रभानु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Of many-coloured lustre, shining with light; fire
Also used to mean: bright rays, the sun
Chitrabhanu (चित्रभानु) is Sanskrit citra-bhānu, from citra, "bright, many-coloured", and bhānu, "light, a ray, the sun". Monier-Williams gives it as of variegated lustre or shining with light, as a name of fire and of Bhairava, and as the sixteenth year of the sixty-year cycle of Jupiter used in Indian calendars. It was also the name of the father of Bāṇa, the seventh-century author of the Kādambarī. Baby-name lists give it as "bright rays" or "the sun", which fits the dictionary's sense of radiance.
