Chiranjeev meaning
Chiranjeev (चिरंजीव) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Long-lived
Also used to mean: immortal
Chiranjeev (चिरंजीव) is Sanskrit ciraṃ-jīva, from ciram, "for a long time", and jīva, "living". Monier-Williams gives it as long-lived, and lists the related ciraṃjīvin as a name of Viṣṇu. In Hindu tradition the Chiranjeevis are the immortals said to live until the end of this age, among them Hanuman, Vibhishana, Vyasa, Parashurama and Ashwatthama. Baby-name lists give the name as "immortal" or "long-lived". Elders also use chiranjeev as a blessing, "may you live long". South Indian families write Chiranjeevi, the screen name of the Telugu film star, and Bengali families say Chiranjib.
