Anant meaning
Anant (अनंत) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, अ, it is a Mesh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Endless, boundless, eternal, infinite; a name of Vishnu
Anant (अनंत) is the Sanskrit ananta, from an-, "not", and anta, "end": that which has no end. Monier-Williams gives it as endless, boundless, eternal and infinite, and lists it as a name of Viṣṇu and of Śeṣa, the cosmic serpent on whose coils Viṣṇu rests and who is also called Ananta, as well as of Kṛṣṇa, Balarāma and Śiva. The festival of Anant Chaturdashi honours Viṣṇu as Ananta. Name lists give Anant as "infinite", "endless" or "eternal", matching the dictionary. Ananth is the usual South Indian spelling.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
