Chirayu meaning
Chirayu (चिरायु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Long-lived; also a deity
Also used to mean: long life, longevity
Chirayu (चिरायु) is the Hindi form of Sanskrit cirāyus, from cira, "long-lasting", and āyus, "life". Monier-Williams gives it as long-lived, citing the medical writer Suśruta, and also as a word for a deity. Baby-name lists give the name as "long life" or "longevity", matching the dictionary. The same wish is heard in the everyday blessing chirāyu bhava, "may you be long-lived", which elders say to children. It is used in Gujarat and North India, sometimes spelled Chiraayu.
