Kripal meaning
Kripal (कृपाल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Compassionate, merciful (Hindi form of Sanskrit kṛpālu)
Kripal (कृपाल) is the Hindi form of Sanskrit kṛpālu, "pitiful, compassionate", from kṛpā, "pity, compassion". Monier-Williams gives kṛpālu in exactly that sense. In devotional Hindi it is a frequent title of the compassionate lord, as in Tulsidas's hymn "Shri Ramachandra kripalu bhaju mana". Name lists give "compassionate" or "merciful", which match. Kirpal is the usual Punjabi and Sikh form, and Krupal the Gujarati spelling. Krupa and Kripa are related girls' names.
