Krishanu meaning
Krishanu (कृशानु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Fire; Agni; the divine archer who guards the Soma
Krishanu (कृशानु) is Sanskrit kṛśānu. In the Ṛgveda he is a skilled archer, "bending the bow", who guards the heavenly Soma and shoots at the hawk carrying it away. Later the word becomes a name of Agni and a common poetic word for fire, used by Kālidāsa and Bhartṛhari, and one text gives it as a name of Viṣṇu. Monier-Williams records all these senses. Name lists give "fire", which matches. The footballer Krishanu Dey was a well-known bearer.
