Rajvardhan meaning
Rajvardhan (राजवर्धन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin. By its first sound, रा, it is a Tula rashi name (Chitra nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Increaser of the kingdom (rājya-vardhana); name of kings
Also used to mean: one who grows the kingdom, protector of the kingdom
Rajvardhan (राजवर्धन) goes back to Sanskrit rājya-vardhana, "one who makes the kingdom prosper", from rājya, "kingdom", and vardhana, "increasing, causing to thrive". Monier-Williams records it as the name of kings, including the elder brother of Emperor Harṣa in the seventh century, and notes that the shorter spelling rāja-vardhana is a scribal variant. Name lists give "one who grows the kingdom". The Olympic shooter and politician Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore uses the older spelling.
