Dhanesh meaning
Dhanesh (धनेश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Lord of wealth; a name of Kubera
Dhanesh (धनेश) is the Sanskrit dhaneśa, from dhana, "wealth, treasure", and īśa, "lord". Monier-Williams records it as a name of Kubera, the god of wealth and treasurer of the gods, who rules the north from his city Alakā. Indian name lists give the same meaning, "lord of wealth". The name is used across India, including Kerala and Maharashtra. In modern Hindi and Marathi dhanesh is also the word for the hornbill, but that sense has no bearing on the name.
