Parimal meaning
Parimal (परिमल) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Fragrance, a fragrant substance, perfume
Parimal (परिमल) is the Sanskrit parimala, fragrance or perfume. Monier-Williams explains it as the scent given off when fragrant substances are crushed or rubbed together, and lists it in classical poetry and the Panchatantra; it can also mean a gathering of learned men. Parimala was the pen-name of the poet Padmagupta, who wrote the Navasahasanka-charita at the court of Malwa. In Hindi parimal is still a poetic word for fragrance. Name lists give "fragrance", the same as the dictionary. The name is used in Gujarat and Bengal.
