Parashuram meaning
Parashuram (परशुराम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
'Rāma with the axe', the sixth avatar of Viṣṇu, son of Jamadagni
Parashuram (परशुराम) means "Rama with the axe", from paraśu, "axe", and Rāma. Monier-Williams records him as one of the three Ramas and the sixth avatar of Vishnu, the son of the sage Jamadagni and Renuka. In the epics and Puranas he is a Brahmin warrior who receives his axe from Shiva and avenges his father's murder by the Kshatriya kings; he also teaches Bhishma, Drona and Karna in the Mahabharata. His birthday is marked as Parashurama Jayanti on Akshaya Tritiya. The name is used across India, often written Parshuram.
In Hindu tradition this is a name of Vishnu.
