Rishabh meaning
Rishabh (ऋषभ) is a Hindu and Jain boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Jain and Hindu usage).
A bull; the best or most excellent; the first Jain Tirthankara
Rishabh (ऋषभ) is Sanskrit ṛṣabha, a bull. Because the bull leads the herd, Monier-Williams notes that the word also means the best or most excellent of any kind, so the epics praise a hero as puruṣarṣabha, "bull among men". For Jains, Rishabha or Rishabhanatha, also called Adinatha, is the first Tirthankara of the present age, whose emblem is the bull; the Bhāgavata Purāṇa also counts a Ṛṣabha among Vishnu's incarnations. The name is used by Jain and Hindu families alike; a well-known bearer is the cricketer Rishabh Pant.
