Prabhu meaning
Prabhu (प्रभु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Master, lord, king; mighty, powerful, able
Prabhu (प्रभु) comes from the Sanskrit verb pra-bhū, "to be powerful, to rule". Monier-Williams gives the adjective as excelling, mighty, powerful and able, and the noun as master, lord or king, a title used for many gods including Surya, Agni, Indra, Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. In Hindi and most Indian languages prabhu is still a common way to address God, as in the bhakti songs of North India and the title Mahaprabhu given to Chaitanya. Name lists give "lord" or "master", which matches the dictionary.
