Nabajyoti meaning
Nabajyoti (नवज्योति) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Assamese usage).
Compound of nava, 'new, fresh', and jyotis, 'light'
Nabajyoti (नवज्योति) is an Assamese name made of Sanskrit nava, "new, fresh, young", and jyotis, "light". Together they mean "new light", a natural choice for a newborn. Assamese pronounces the Sanskrit v as b, so nava becomes "naba", as in other Assamese names such as Nabadip. The pattern of adding -jyoti to a word is used mainly in Assam, as in Dhrubajyoti and Bhaskarjyoti, and the same words name Nabajyoti College in Assam.
