Parthapratim meaning
Parthapratim (पार्थप्रतिम) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Bengali and Assamese usage). By its first sound, पा, it is a Kanya rashi name (Uttara Phalguni nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
Compound of Pārtha, 'Arjuna', and -pratima, 'like, resembling, equal to'
Also used to mean: like Arjuna, image of Partha
Parthapratim (पार्थप्रतिम) is a Bengali and Assamese name meaning "like Arjuna". Pārtha, "son of Pṛthā", is a name for the Pāṇḍava brothers whose mother Kuntī was also called Pṛthā, and above all for Arjuna. Monier-Williams records -pratima at the end of a compound as "like, similar, resembling, equal to", from pratimā, "an image, a likeness". The name therefore expresses the hope that a son will be as skilled and steadfast as the archer of the Mahabharata. It is often written as two words, Partha Pratim.
