Ekveer meaning
Ekveer (एकवीर) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin (Vedic). By its first sound, ए, it is a Vrishabh rashi name (Krittika nakshatra) in the North Indian table.
A unique or pre-eminent hero
Also used to mean: bravest of the brave, sole hero
Ekveer (एकवीर) is Sanskrit ekavīra, from eka, "one" or "alone", and vīra, "hero". Monier-Williams defines it as a unique or pre-eminent hero and traces it as far back as the Rigveda and the Atharvaveda, as well as the Mahabharata. Name lists give it as "bravest of the brave" or "sole hero", which is a fair reading of the old word. The feminine Ekavīrā is a separate name, which MW records as a daughter of Śiva, so the boy's name is usually spelt Ekveer or Ekvir.
