Rajveer meaning
Rajveer (ਰਾਜਵੀਰ) is a Sikh and Hindu boy's name of Punjabi origin.
Raj (king; 'chief' in compounds) joined with vīr (brave warrior)
Also used to mean: brave king, warrior king
Rajveer (ਰਾਜਵੀਰ, राजवीर) joins raj and vīr. The Mahan Kosh gives raj as a king or a kingdom, from the Sanskrit root rāj, "to shine", and notes that at the start of a compound it carries the sense of chief or supreme, as in rājhans, the royal swan, or devrāj, lord of the gods. Vīr is a brave man or warrior, and in Punjabi also a brother. Read with the compound sense, the name means "foremost warrior"; read word by word, it is "brave king" or "warrior king", which is how name lists usually give it. Both words occur in the Guru Granth Sahib, but the name itself is a modern compound, used in Sikh, Punjabi and Hindu families.
