Divyanshu meaning
Divyanshu (दिव्यांशु) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Divine ray of light
Also used to mean: divine light, the sun
Divyanshu (दिव्यांशु) joins divya, which Monier-Williams gives as divine, heavenly and celestial, with aṃśu, a filament or thread and also a ray of light or a sunbeam. The name therefore means "a divine ray", and Indian name lists give "divine light" or "the sun", since the sun is the source of such rays. The compound is not in the classical dictionaries, so it is a modern name built from old words. It is easy to confuse with Divyansh, but the two differ: Divyansh ends in aṃśa, "a part", while Divyanshu ends in aṃśu, "a ray".
