Jaiprakash meaning
Jaiprakash (जयप्रकाश) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Light of victory (jaya, 'victory' + prakāśa, 'light, splendour')
Also used to mean: victorious radiance
Jaiprakash (जयप्रकाश) joins Sanskrit jaya, "victory, triumph", with prakāśa, which Monier-Williams gives as visible, shining or bright, and as a noun light, lustre and splendour, and also fame and renown. The compound is a later name, read from its parts as "light of victory", and name lists give "light of victory" or "victorious radiance". Jayaprakash and Jayprakash are other spellings. The freedom fighter Jayaprakash Narayan, remembered as Lok Nayak, "the people's leader", led the movement against the Emergency in the 1970s.
