Jaikishan meaning
Jaikishan (जयकिशन) is a Hindu boy's name of Sanskrit origin.
Victory to Krishna (jai, 'victory' + Kishan, the Hindi form of Kṛṣṇa)
Also used to mean: victorious Krishna, victory of Krishna
Jaikishan (जयकिशन) joins jai, the Hindi form of Sanskrit jaya, "victory, triumph", with Kishan, the everyday North Indian form of Kṛṣṇa, the god Krishna. Monier-Williams gives kṛṣṇa first as black or dark, and then as the name of the celebrated incarnation of Viṣṇu. Read together the name is "victory to Krishna" or "victorious Krishna", the glosses name lists give, and it echoes the greeting "Jai Shri Krishna". Its best-known bearer is Jaikishan Panchal of the composer duo Shankar–Jaikishan, who scored many Raj Kapoor films.
